1990 Volvo 740 gl, non turbo 105,000 miles
My 740 gl had its fuel pump replaced a month ago. When it was installed the mechanic broke my gas gauge. I drove the car 85 miles and the nest day it started but when I went to accelerate the car would bog down under 2500 rpm and not go. I tried it a few times and very few times I got the car to drive once it was past a certain rpm. I had an issue with the windows and was messing with relays and hope when I fixed the windows I didnt disconnect anything. I had it towed and looked at. They checked the mass air flow sensor, throttle position valve sensor, cam sensor, cataylic convertor checked, and timig belt checked. I replaced the fuel filter, new plug, wires and air filter. Ive checked fuses and fuel pressure. What is causing my car to do this when I accelerate from take off? It starts and idles fine, just when I go to take off the car just seems to kick back and not want to go. Please help me, Im at my wits end and have had no car for 4 weeks. Pep boys said my car is a nightmare and I should come get it now.

It sound like it is a fuel pump problem, you should replace the fuel pump with a Volvo pump assembly, I know it is more excessive but they are worth it. Plus your fuel gauge will work. :D

Will the volvo pump assembly fix the problem with the car not wanting to drive? My major issue is the car when you step on the gas pedal not going, it bucks.
