1972 Volkswagen Van 4 cyl Two Wheel Drive Manual

the engine started then stoped and would not turn over at all i thought it was siezed but i took the he ads off and the pistons sled in the barrels easy but it still wont turn at all its like the crankshaft is frozen

Did you remove the other head as well? Remove the starter make sure it is not jammed into the flywheel.
