2001 Volkswagen Passat 6 cyl All Wheel Drive Automatic

HI I have 2001 passat 6 cylinders engine light on getting trouble codes P420 and P430 any ideas of possibles causes. And my I dont get hot air on my heater whats wrong? Thanks for any help

Those are catalytic coverter efficiency codes.

Depending on mileage your car may still be covered under the emissions warranty. It may be worn catalytic converters, improperly working oxygen sensors, or just in need of an ECU reflash to reset the efficiency parameters.

The heater is a separate issue and is probably due to a clogged heater core. You should have the climate control system scanned for any fault codes to rule out any control head or blend door malfunctions first.
