I have a 1995 Jetta, and recently I have been experiencing a very weird problem. while turning the wheel, (mostly at very slow speeds like in a parking lot), my horn will activate during the turn. It doesn't happen all the time, but enough to make it embarrassing and annoying. What can I check before I break down and bring it to a merchanic? :(

the problem is in the horn ring. I can't remember how to fix it; but, that is where the problem lies. The steering wheel will need to be removed (no steering wheel puller needed). Be very careful if you do it! The airbag could deploy!
