Engine Cooling problem
2001 Volkswagen Jetta 4 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic

I am moving cross country and I do all the repairs on my car myself. I have pretty much got the car all ready to go but I realized that the thermo switch is bad on it. I am not quite sure how to replace the cooling fan thermo/thermal switch on this model vehicle. I know that is in the radiator. But where do I start?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hello, we may need more info. I show 6 different types of Jetta's and numerous engine types based off of the model. I gave you the info for a Jetta GL, L4-1.9L DSL Turbo (ALH). On this car it is located back side of radiator bottom, left if you are talking about the radiator cooling fan temperature sensor/switch. Hope that helps. Good luck.
