While driving back from a weekend trip, I noticed that it wasn't shifting properly. Wouldn't go above 3rd or 4th gear.

While doing about 60, the RPM was well into the 50's. So I exited the highway and decided to take surface streets for the last 20 miles. The car then still took a while to shift gears and when it did, it jerked from 1st to 2nd.

What do you think the issue is and cost to get it fixed?

Thank You.

Hi there,

You will need to get a transmission diagnostic test done to determine the cause of this problem, I would be thinking that it will be an electrical issue with a solenoid, but until the diagnostic is done there is no way of knowing exactly what is going on, get it done ASAP as a precaution against any potential expensive damage being done.
