Hi there,

I will get a local costing on after market parts after Easter and post it for you.

I just had the whole assembly replaced. The clutch plates, pressure plate, throw-out bearing and flywheel came out to $1400 for labor and parts. They told me the parts alone came to $1200. Flywheel is the most expensive, coming in between 800-900 on it's own. Apparently, GTIs made after 2000, have parts that are waaaaay more expensive than earlier models.
