Step 1: there are 4-5 nuts on the bottom of the knee board that have to come off.
Step 2: There are 2 "hidden" screws on the left part of the knee board - you will have to pop out the plastic bits to gain access.
Step 3: Take the whole knee pad out. You should have enough access to get to the ignition switch now. There's a screw holding the ignition switch in place - you will need a 90 degree small phillips to work it loose.
That should get you access for replacement.
