Do I need to use a gas additive for this car year, with the car being 38 years old and unleaded gas wasn't use then. The car is a 1971 Volkswaen Beetle with 85,650 original miles. Will this car run on unleaded gas efficently.

If you dont use a lead substitute, the valves and or valve seats can be damaged, the other option is to replace the same items!

It should run just fine without leaded gas, I run my 67 without it.
