When I drive round 40 to 55, I feel a vibration when I accelerate, especially when I floor it. It only does that really in them speed ranges. What could be the problem?

Hi,

Kevin, does it seem like the transmission could be slipping? Also, tire balance can cause vibration at specific speeds only. Do you notice the vibration in the seat and floor or more in the steering?

If I had to guess, I have a feeling it is related to a worn CV joint. They can cause a vibration under heavy acceleration. But then why isn't it happening at other speeds becomes the next question. Take a look through this link and let me know if it mirrors what you are experiencing.

Let me know if that matches anything you experience and we'll move on from that point. Also, let me know if the check engine light is staying on when the engine is running.

Take care,
Joe
