Vibrating when turning

Hi,

Do you think this noise would be heard on a recording? Definitely, sounds like something is rubbing but hearing the noise may make the cause jump out to me.

If not, then we will need to inspect under the vehicle while someone else is turning the wheel. Clearly not while it is moving but the engine is running so that you can turn the wheel.

Okay. Unfortunately, I won't be able to tell you what it is. Hearing it may help but I can tell you how to try to figure it out.

Have someone else drive the vehicle and you stand next to the vehicle. Have them turn the wheel and drive slow and you walk next to the vehicle and listen for the noise. It will be much quieter because your speed is slow but if something is dragging you should still hear it. Do this on both sides to see which side is louder. Then lay on the ground and look around the wheel and then up under the vehicle when they are turning the wheel back and forth full travel left and right. While looking under the vehicle watch all the components that are turning to see if anything is making contact with each other. Nothing should be touching.

If you can get the video I may be able to narrow this down for you because things in this area make distinct sounds.
