2002 Vauxhall Zafira EGR Valve

I had a problem with my car stalling and not re-starting. The engine light comes on. And wouldnt turn over.
Called AA, they told me my ERG Valve was sticking, so he took it out. Now my car hasnt run for a while as ive had a company car. Now i have to use my own car and it due for an MOT.
Will my emissions go through the roof and fail the MOT? And is it safe to drive without ERG Valve. Please help!!!

Replace the EGR valve before the test it will effect the emmissions system !! hope this helps
