2000 Vauxhall Zafira Oil Filter Housing cracked

we were about to do an oil change on our vauxhall zafira when we noticed a crack in the oil filter housing. The problem we have is we can't figure out how to remove this to be able to replace it. Any ideas???

which part of the housing is cracked ? . the plastic over cover or the metal housing ?

it was the metal housing that broke but we finally got the old one off and replaced with a new one. thank you
