2003 Vauxhall Vectra over heating

Hello lads I have vauxhall vecta elagance 2003 dti 16v I service it.I put castrol gtx desil oil in 10w 40 is that oil ok. My car is overheating after service after a few miles the tempreture goes up to around 85c. I have noticed a black and yellow wire with a clip on doing nothing not plugged in anywhere its part of a 3 way wire which the other two are pluged in its located next to top end of raditor right hand side could that be the problem if so could you tell me were it plugs into please and is the oil I put in ok thanks graeme

The oil is OK for this vehicle. 85 is not over heating that is around normal operating temp. You will have to locate a wiring diagram. Your local library should be able to supply a manual for the vehicle
