hi i recently had my cams and valves replaceced i put fast road cams in but now my car seems to be burning 4 litres of oil in 100 but my car is alot faster and more responsive my garage reckon its my bottom end need replacing but before i had cam upgrade it was fine it hardly smoked any ideas

Hi there,

This is not that uncommon, when you o/haul the top end and seal it up like new you put a greater load on the bottom end and often you can experience excessive oil burning as the increased cylinder pressures are often to much for the worn rings to cope with.
