2001 Vauxhall Astra electrical problems

Im having major problems with my mk4 astra g 1.8 sri, my power steering works when it wants to but most of the time is stiff, my thermostate never really works and my abs and tracksion control light is always on also the rev counter and sppedo have just starteed to stop working then working, I have put another alternator on and checked all fuses, please can you help thanks

The alterator controls power steering on this vehicle .. did you replace with a NEW or used unit .. these alternators are always going bad .. I would check this is working correctly !! all the faults you describe could be related to the alternator malfunctioning ?

I have noticed more faults since I put this other one on so im gonna take it off and try another thanks for the info I will let you know how it goes.
