It is not extremely uncommon for the pads to wear unevenly but it all depends on how much they were uneven.

So if they are a couple millimetres off from each other then that is normal but if they are more then 5 mm then you have either a sticking caliper or caliper pin.

Here is a guide that will help with changing pads on a Civic that is close to your vehicle in the event you need that:

If the calipers were checked and are not sticking then you may have swollen brake lines. However, is this all 4 wheels that have uneven wear or just one?

Let me know which pads they were and how much they are uneven. Thanks.

Okay, well NSF pads measuring 4.97mm, and OSF pads measuring 3.88 mm. So does that seem okay?

That is perfectly find. Basically 1 mm difference is not anything to be worried about. The way these work is the inboard pad is the only one that is actually touching the caliper piston. The outboard pad is actually pulled into the rotor as the piston extends. So there is different amount of pressure on each pad. Even though it is not much different they will wear slightly different.

Let us know if there are other questions. Thanks for using 2CarPros.
