When I drive my vehicle sounds like something is breaking off. When I push on my brakes I hear air and when I release my foot the air goes for a couple of minutes. I was told along time ago that it might be the CV shaft or drive shaft. And when we jacked it up we started to rotate the left front tire forward and it turned forward while the right front tire turned the opposite way.

Okay. First the tires spinning in the opposite direction is normal. That is due to the differential gears. When you spin both wheels through the pinion they will spin in the same direction. When you use one of the tires to spin the other it goes in the opposite direction.

As for the noise, can you get a recording of it and give us more detail about when it does it. What speeds and if you are turning or not?

Let us know if you can get a recording and we can go from there. Thanks

Okay, I'm going to see if I can get a recording. I know that I can turn it on and go to back out and it start making that sound before I even turn the wheel.
