I located the transmission speed sensor and have subsequently removed the bolt. However, this appears to be as far as I am going to be able to get, as I have been completely unable to disconnect the sensor from the wiring harness (the part in which the sensor connects. Which sits down inside the transmission housing/shroud (sorry, I am unfamiliar with the correct term as I am a nurse, not a mechanic). I sprayed it with P.B. Blaster at least two to three times a day, every day for the past twenty one days and for the past four days I had a tiny bag clipped to it with a hemostat in order to submerge the entire sensor in PB Blaster. This thing is not budging.
Would very much like to know whether it twists off, or simply pulls apart. I have exceptionally detailed video in 4k and 4k pictures if you think they might help.
I have tried everything aside from beating it with a sledge hammer. It simply will not budge. Of course, the whole thing is dislodged from the transmission housing/case/shroud, whereas it should seat nicely into the hole. I have also attempted to re-seat it in order to utilize that as a sort of wedge to help removal.
I am curious as to how I can deal with this. Is clipping the wires from the part that the sensor connects an option or does this part belong to a larger wiring harness that cannot just be replaced?
