My factory stereo works just fine in the car, but trying to exchange stereos and it is all wired up and turns on, but there is no sound and I cannot figure out why. I bought the $50.00 wiring kit it asked for still nothing.

Hello,

It sounds like you car has a factory amp which needs to have a trigger signal from the new radio. Most people use the antenna trigger to show the amp the radio is on. Here is a wiring diagram you help you get the problem fixed. Was there an option of standard or premium sound when you got the wiring adapter?

Because it looks like there are two different systems your car came with.

Please let us know what happens.

Cheers, Ken
