Truck will not shift into any gear due to fuel issues I presume.

Initially I changed the fuel filter and the fuel on the back of the filter was black. I then ran cfoam through it to clear the sediment. I drove it and it didn't want to stay running. I then removed the mass air flow filter to see if it ran clean and didn't. I changed the throttle positioning sensor and that still isn't it. The obd doesn't read anything and there are no idiot lights on except for the overdrive off light which has been on since we bought it, but found out the overdrive light is just an electrical issue and not the transmission. I turned the key on and I can hear the fuel pump turn on, then checked the engine fuel nozzle thing to see if the engine is getting enough fuel and it is getting enough. Currently, the truck will start and will stall when I shift and even when I just give it gas while in park. I don't know what else it could be now.

Check fuel pressure with a gauge first autoparts rent it. You can't measure pressure with your eyes scan for codes to if still not shifting have a trasn guy look at it may be a govenor

Yeah we used a pressure gauge and it has enough pressure, but I will look at the governor. That sounds like a good idea. We did scan for codes and none came up on the computer, but I did think that my friends computer wasn't the right one because when it scanned after a minute it said error and I'm not familiar with the smaller models. I used to use a modus which is quite a hefty price to buy compared to the smaller 200 dollar ones. I greatly appreciate your advice though and thank you for the help.
