I do not have a remote start, but my daughter hit the lock button 3 times on our key fob just to see if it would start. It did not start, of course, and now the van is completely dead. The fob does not lock or unlock the van. No lights or anything comes on when I try to start the van. I tried to jump start the van, but it stayed completely dead. I think my daughter may have triggered an anti-theft mechanism or created a problem with the controls and am just wondering if there might be any easy way to override this. The closest dealership is 15 miles away.

Very doubtful that it was the remote that triggered anything. It doesn't have that ability. More likely it is just a coincidence that it failed at that time. The first thing to check would be the battery cables and the connections at both ends as well as the battery itself. Next would be to use a test light to go over the fuses. Chrysler is really bad when it comes to electrical issues unfortunately. Being that you show no life those are where I would start.
As for any anti-theft system, it would only prevent the vehicle from running, not shut down all the power.
