Transmission Replacement

Hi,

This is a big job that will require special tooling. You will need an engine support to hold the engine in place when removing the transmission.

I included the removal and installation directions below. They are quite extensive but don't be overwhelmed.

Hi,

I looked up part numbers for both model years and included them below. They are the same part number, so it should work.

However, this is a CVT transmission. If the one you plan to use has a lot of miles, consider rebuilding it prior to installation. This transmission design hasn't been the longest lasting.

2005 -- 7F9Z7000A

2007 -- 7F9Z7000A

Interestingly, the part is identified as a CVT in the manual, which to the best of my knowledge is. The removal and replacement that both Sean and I provided show it as a 6-speed automatic. I'm waiting for confirmation.
