Transmission heating Sensor

Hi,
My car has a check engine light. It was checked over by AutoZone and the code was for a bad transmission Heating sensor. I have tried to get more information about this matter but all videos available are for engine temperature sensor. Are they both one and the same? I cannot go into a major repair if it is the transmission at this time. Hoping you can shed some light on this matter.
