We need to scan the car for trouble codes before we can help you fix the car. I would use a CAN scanner which are not that expensive on Amazon, here is one for $199.00:

Is the transmission acting normal? Also is this an automatic or manual transmission car. The PDK sits low in this car and can get wet which will cause problems, the connectors or not watertight. Here is the location of the controller so you can check it out. Disconnect the battery before checking. Check out the images (below). Let us know what happens and please upload pictures or videos of the problem.

Greetings from Porsche Center Bengaluru!

This is further to trailing mail.

We would like to draw your attention on following points:

Post new car delivery, the mentioned vehicle had visited PCB twice for check up on 11.07.2013 and 26.09.2013 respectively. During these visits, none of the concerns which are mentioned in the trailing were reported from your end.
The vehicle had reported for 1st periodic maintenance service on 30.05.2014 at 3392kms. During this visit, we understand that the non-genuine sports exhaust system was already fitted by your end in the car. The same can be found in our service records.
This is to clarify that, only after fixing the non-genuine sports exhaust system, the concerns mentioned by you in trailing mail were reported to us.
And also confirming that before submitting supplementary estimate carried out all the necessary diagnosis procedures which you have mentioned (check the gearbox oil for any dust and metal particulars in oil) and there was no metal particles found in the gearbox oil.

Based on the complete diagnosis & observations, it is recommended to replace the gearbox to rectify the reported concern.

Please find attached the fault code details for your reference.

Requesting your approval for the same so that we can order the parts and complete with the repair work at the earliest.
This what I got reply from Porsche center Bangalore India.

Did they give you any codes? They are the dealer so maybe they have seen this problem before. Do they give the reason the transmission needs to be replaced like what is the internal failure?
