My transmission stopped shifting gears.
We reset the codes. But it still does not work. The code above is what shows up. My son rechecked the code. It still came up P1748. He did find out that it is listed as a manufactures specific code. It is listed as a low pressure switch in the transmission. Any ideas if this is something we can fix ourselves?

Hello,

This sounds like it could be the one of the speed sensors which are on the outside of the transmission, a fuse that might be blown or the transmission is failing apart spreading metal and clogging fluid ports. I would check the fuses then remove the pan first and just for metal as well as both speed sensors. Here is a wiring diagram so you can find the right sensors on the case.

Please let us know what happens.
