I keep getting trouble codes P0700 and P0748. I replaced the pressure control solenoid and the car ran good for about 2 weeks. Now it's doing it again but not all the time. Sometimes it runs well, then all of a sudden it won't go past 40 MPH.

Hi,

The P0700 is generic and only indicates via the PCM that a code is stored in the transmission control module.

The P0748 is a different story. As you are already aware, it is related to the modulator pressure sensor. The idea that it worked properly for 2 weeks after replacing the part leads me to believe we have a bad connection or a faulty wire. Recheck the wiring to the transmission for evidence of damage. Also, check all connectors.

If that checks good, I attached the diagnostics specific to this code. Take a look through them and let me know if you are comfortable performing them.

Let me know.

Take care,

Joe
