Transmission has a delay and clunk when putting into drive

Delay and clunk when put in gear, drive only. Other than that, everything is fine.

First, make sure the transmission fluid is clean and full. If it is dirty, you should consider servicing it. Here are general directions for doing so:

If the fluid is clean and full or has recently been serviced, check transmission mounts, engine mounts, and axle joints. Here is a link which reviews symptoms of a bad CV joint on the axle. You will see it refers to a clicking, so see if that is happening.
