While driving the car listed above ix35, all of a sudden the traction control and hill descent control warning lights came on. I have switch off the car and started it again but the lights remains on. Is it a bad wheel speed sensor?Or some wiring problem? Just like to know where first I should diagnose the problem.

Good morning,

There is a fault code stored in the ABS module for this issue. I need that code.

You can go to a parts store and they will read it for free. Once I know the code, I can narrow the area of failure for you.

Yes, it could be a speed sensor but there are many components in the system.

After arriving to my destination I switched off the engine and restarted it again. The warning lights were gone, but still I went on to put the scanner( Autel al619) and there was no code found.

That is because the ABS resets every time you turn it off.

You need a scan tool that can read history codes for the ABS system.

Try accessing the ABS module with your scan tool and see if there are any history codes stored.

During a detailed inspection on wiring I found the connector on the brake switch to be loose and one of the wires has some chaffing on it. Had to repair the wire and secure the connector.
