My opinion is to take it to a garage that you normally deal with and ask them to look it over. It may be $50 or whatever, but may reveal a potential scary needed repair. I have often found that the owner doesn't realize a problem exists and honestly believes there isn't when selling it. My experience shows that when you spend less than a thousand you need to spend another thousand of unexpected things pretty quick. Still that is cheap. Just like this forum is inexpensive, a small donation shows our donated time is appreciated :wink:
Depending on the area of the country you are located can make a difference. Here in
Niagara Falls, NY Road salt eats up cars and renders them unrepairable eventually. Not many 93's are in great shape up here, but that isn't everthing. I have a customer with an 82 pontiac that most people would have given up on. So have it looked it first. :)
