Electrical problem

I have replaced my battery. The only way I can keep it charged is take the hot wire off when I park it. Otherwise the battery will be dead. What could cause this? My alternator has been tested and is ok.

Hi there,

You will have to do a current draw test, place an Amp meter between the battery (+) and the cable removed this will show any current draw, with key off and door s closed you should have about.1-.25 amps max if more, start to pull fuses to locate circuit drawing power. The alternator may be leaking ton earth (this will not affect charging a lot) but pull off main alternator cable as well to see if the current draw is there.
