i recently replaced the key ignition in my 1980 toyota 4wd pickup truck. at first i couldnt remove the key ignition metal piece so i took off the elctrical part at the end of the metal part and used a flathead screwdriver to turn it and the engine started. afterwards i tried stating it again and it turned over but didnt start and my friend told me he saw a spark near the battery. eventualy i got the key ignition in and everything put together but now every time i turn the key it doesnt start and wont even turnover all i get are couple beeps and some lights on the dash and the negative ground on the battery gets warm. i expectits a short on the body structure but have looked extensively and have found no contacting wires. what is my problem and how do i fix it?
