2004 Toyota Corolla Questions Answers

Just a month ago I bought this car. How should I maintain in general to keep it well ang good?

First, read the owners manual.

Second, read the owners manual again :).

The manual will give you all the necessary maint. Info.

Later model Toyota's generally require little maint.

Most important, change oil/filter every 3,000 miles. Change (flush) cooling system every 2 years/24,000 miles.

Check under the car and look for any leaks e.G. Trans fluid, coolant, oil and repair if needed.

NEVER overheat this engine, if the temp. Gauge ever heads toward the red, pull off the road and let it cool and get the problem fixed ASAP.

The 1ZZFE engine used in the Corolla is a very reliable engine overall.
