Whenever I am driving on freeway steering wheel vibrates and when the brakes are applied the pedal vibrates also. When exiting ramp and coming to complete stop the brakes seem to pulsate. Recently replaced brake pads and yesterday the drivier side wheel was smoking and smelled like burned brake dust. At other times the issue goes completely away for about a couple of days and then comes back.

Do you have an ABS light on?

Problem sounds like a caliper that is sticking. Check caliper slide pins for binding, pins should move freely in caliper.

If caliper is binding, then the rotor is most likely warped causing the vibration.

#1) Wrong: Corollas don't come with ABS, it's not available.

Now, based on your problem description, the common cause of vibration while braking are bent disk rotors, they could be repaired by certain shops in most cases if not you'll need to replace them, check on ebay for slotted/drilled ones for a fraction of toyota OEM's. I recommend using Toyota Pads this work great!

Take action as soon as possible, this could led to damage other brake parts.

Feel free to ask anything.

Thanks, JP.
