Will a 2000 toyota corolla engine fit in a 1998 body?

Call local junk yard, ask what years engines are interchangable with Corolla. It was around this time, 1998, that Toyota switched to the VVTi engine, as long as 98 was VVTi engine, you should be OK, but check with junk yard for confirmation.
