Do I need to torque the screws on the valve cover after I replace the valve cover gasket? If yes, what would be the proper torque amount? 20 inch pound?

Thanks,

Peter

Hi,

The manual doesn't include specs. I imagine it's because there are different types of gasket materials.

If you are using a rubber-type gasket, I would recommend between 50 and 60 inch-pounds. Note I said inch-pounds and not foot pounds.

When you tighten the valve cover, do it in a back and forth sequence starting in the middle of the cover.

I hope this helps. Let me know if you have other questions.

Take care,
Joe
