I have replaced the drivers side cv shaft 6 years ago and now I hear a clunking sound again when I turn both directions and I cant tell which side it is coming from. Is there some way to check which cv shaft is bad with the car while it is parked?

Hi there,

Normally it is the side to which you are turning, as this CV is under the most load.

My corolla does the same thing and it has been getting worse and you can also feel it through the whole car and brakes now, my tyres seem to be rubbing on my inner guards to which bob janes seen to think its had something to do wih that.

Do you have anyother suggestions?

The CV won't cause the wheel to touch the inner guard, I would be looking at a wheel bearing, suspension or steering problem, that is as long as the wheels and tyres are the correct size the car.
