can I replace my contact point with cdi? Would be it possible? What are its advantages and disadvantages? Thanks.

I have not seen any conversions for this model, but that is not to say that they are not out there, and often distributor re builders can do a conversion, if you can get one, go for it there are no disadvantages to speak of, only positives, the only disadvantage if any is that if the igniter fails you are up for a tow, but these last years ands years, check with your local parts outlet as they should know about who has these conversions.

The 92 has an electronic ignition and ignitor. It is VERY reliable.

You could go to TRD (Toyota's high performance division) to see if they offer any different ignition systems.

To convert to a crank trigger would be very expensive.
