1991 Toyota Corolla Stuck throttle

My thottle keeps revving up real high. The screw that revs it down tightens back up when you crank it and drive a while. It tightens faster if driven over 50 mph. What causes this and what do I need to do to fix it?

Let me understand.

IS there anything that you are adjusting?

I am assuming that you are not adjusting anything.

The symptom you have is a high idle that gets worse as the engine get warmer.

Is this correct?
