Remove the drivers side wheel and lower protective covering.
Remove air cleaner and assy. To throttle body. Remove charcoal cannister and vacuum lines to it.

The filter is on the firewall held in place with 2 10mm bolts.
The lower connection is a double inverted flare nut, use a flare wrench after soaking the nut with PB Blaster. Use another wrench to hold the filter (19mm, I think). Remove the lower nut, then use a socket and extension to remove the upper bolt (banjo bolt), the new filter will come with 2 copper washers.
Remove filter from firewall.

When installing new filter, before installing on firewall, start the lower nut by hand (DO NOT CROSSTHREAD THIS NUT). Then mount on firewall and finish up.

DO NOT USE TEFLON TAPE OR SEALANT ON EITHER THE LOWER NUT OR UPPER BOLT.
