I think it's leaking from the distributor cap.

That is very highly unlikely VERY VERY VERY UNLIKELY.

If by some means it came out of there the vehicle wouldnt be running to get hot

I was told by a friend of mine that the leak was coming from the cap. That didn't seem right. I know that I seen it coming under the car, not sure where.

What do you think it can be.

1. A hose.
2. The radiator.
3. A thermostat problem.

Can come from many things.

Bad radiator, bad freeze plugs, cracked block, warped/crackedhead, bad headgasket, bad radiator hose. Many things can you get a picture?
