1996 Toyota Camry Engine wont turn over

1996 Toyota Camry 4 cyl Automatic 108000 miles

When you start my camry, the car will be turn on fine as long as you are reving the gas pedal, but as soon as you take your foot off the gas the car dies/stalls out. Any suggestions?

I finally get the car to start by giving it gas for about a minute, then after that the car is fine. Does anyone have a suggestion on why this is happening?

Hi churchill1,

The idling system is not functioning correctly and quite often it is due to a dirty throttle body and Idle Air Control valve.

Get them cleaned and it should solve the problem.
