Which converter is bank 1, the front one or the rear one?

Convertor bank 1? You mean o2 sensor bank 1? If so its the one on the side of the engine with the #1 cylinder

which in your case is the only side of the engine you have, it will be located on the exhaust manifold BEFORE the catalytic convertor.
