I have gone through many of topics in forum where you mention proper maintenence of Heater control valve, Fuel pressure regulator, mass air flow sensor and O2 sensor. Can you please tell us where they are located and how to clean / change them?

Thanks,

Hi there,

These sensors are located in much the same place on all vehicles, (there will be some differences of course) O2 sensors are located in the exhaust between engine and Cat converter. MAF is located between the air cleaner and manifold (if used ) Fuel pressure regulator will normally be attached to the injector fuel rail, it will be vacuum operated. These sensors and others MAP sensor Air density, CPI, Cam sensor, are all non servicable. They are sensors with no adjustments and can only be tested with proper understanding of electric and with suitable equipment. Codes will tell us what sensor is not registering, not necessarily if it is faulty, the wiring and plugs can cause faults as can the ECU, so changing sensors just to see if it fixes a fault can be time wasting and expensive. You must test the entire circuit before making any decisions about what to do.

I hope that this is of help,
