Need to replace the rack and pinion /
Removal (FWD)
1. Raise and support front of vehicle. Remove front wheels. Remove both fender aprons
disconnect tie rod ends from steering arms. Remove steering column hole cover for access to steering coupler bolts.
2. Mark and disconnect steering coupler "U" joint. Remove and plug pressure and return lines. Remove air control vacuum valve hose (if equipped).
3. Remove drive shaft. Remove stabilizer bar (if necessary).
4. Remove steering gear mounting brackets. Remove steering gear. Use care not to tear rack boots when removing from chassis.
