I was putting in a remote starter today. The car started with the remote and all and I also tried to connect the power lock and unlock to the system. When I went to test for the wires for the lock and unlock at the relay box, smoke came from the wire. And the power windows, locks, and sun roof stopped working. After replacing the 4 pin 30 amp 12 volt relay with a new one, everything worked like normal except the power lock and unlock button. With the door open, when I press the button it does nothing. And with the door shut, when I press either button, it makes a buzz sound. Could you tell me whats going on?

***Also when I lock the car with the key and wait for about 5 minutes later, I unlock it with the key and the anti-theft alarm goes off.

There is a seperate relay/control module for the door locks and anti-theft system you may have damaged. This could cause the problems you describe.

Is there a way to fix that? Or do I have to bring it to the dealer or a shop.

Not to blow you off, but you may want to take the car to someone you trust with basic auto electrical knowledge. If this relay/module is bad, you don't want to blow a few one if there is an additional problem. Also, a word of warning. If you take it to a dealer, being you have install an aftermarket piece of equipment, it's like giving them a blank check. Beware. If there is anything else we can do for you, you know where to find us.
