Engine dies

I have an 89 4Runner SR5, 4cyl with 150,000 miles. It had been sitting for about 2 years, so I flushed the gas tank, replaced the plugs, the wires, the distributor, and the water pump. The engine was idling sporadically high and low at irregular intervals, so I replaced the MAF sensor. Now the engine dies almost right away, and it won't accelerate. Any ideas?

CHange the fuel filter and check the fule pressure. It could be the pressure regulator. Good luck.

It turned out to be the the MAF sensor that I replaced. I put the old one back in and now it's back to the original problem. I found in the Chilton's manual how to run a diagnostics, and the problem is with the throttle position sensor. The new one comes in tomorrow. I hope it works.
