1990 Toyota 4Runner idle

After running my car on the freeway for a while(especially on a hot day) after turning it off then turning it back on it shuts off when in idle. To keep it running I have to keep y foot on the gas. Any help is greatly appreciated

Check the idle speed engine hot air off it should be 800RPM. Adjust if not to spec, check for vacuum leaks and do a tune if you have not done one for some time, make sure that the A/C idle up is working and dragging the motor idle down in park.
