After disconnecting my (week old) battery, I replaced the front airbag sensor. When I reconnected the battery, there was NO power to the van, not even interior lights.
Any suggestions?
thanks

Hi,

There are two fusible links. Fusible link 2 is what sends power to the under-hood fuse box. I have a feeling either it was damaged or has failed.

The link is in the battery cable harness between the battery + and the under-hood fuse box.

I attached the schematic showing the links. Locate them and see if there is power on both ends of the fusible link.

Let me know what you find.

Joie

I'm getting only 2.2 volts at the main fuse. It may very well be the fusible link has been compromised. I DJ all weekend and won't get a chance to dig into it more until Monday. I'll keep you up to date.
Thanks again!

Hi, sorry it's taken me so long to get back to you. When this problem started, the first thing I did was replace the 125A mega fuse to the under-hood fuse box. No change, I still had No Power. I proceeded to try a lot of different things including fusible link #2, etc, and infinitum. After much redundant troubleshooting, I discovered that the Brand-New mega fuse, installed at the beginning of this project, was defective. (I should have known) I replaced the new (but defective) mega fuse on Wednesday. I had to jump start the car, my brand new $220.00 battery had been completely drained of all power, which was baffling. But when it fired up, I whooped for joy. Everything is now "Jake" (Roaring 20's for satisfactory) and I thank you kindly and sincerely for your concern, patience and in-sight. Before you stepped up, I was almost going to flat bedding my rig to the dealer. Which would have been financial suicide for a successful but struggling wedding, mitzvah, Anniversary, Dance and Pub DJ.
Gratefully and
with best regards,
Bruce Alan
