How to re-calibrate the TMS after changing one of the sensors?

Here is the procedure if you do not have the scan tool to program ID.

Once the vehicle has remained stationary for more than twenty minutes, drive vehicle for a minimum of ten minutes while maintaining a continuous speed above 15 mph (24 km/h). During this time, the system will learn the new sensor ID. This is part of the TPM Diagnostic Verification Test.

I believe that before you can do any relearning you have to register the serial number of the sensor in the module and you are going to need either an enhanced scan tool or high grade TPMS tool to do that. I have tried the relearn on a Chrysler product with a new sensor before and it would not relearn until it was registered.
